Maui

Its been quite the rush... as nice as the weather has been at home.. no riding in Manitoba will EVER compare to anything here... you can't go long without the road pointing up (and sometimes 10023 feet UP with no break) and if you're not fighting a hill, you're fighting the trade winds... once again, making Manitoba winds look some what like a gentle breeze at best...

Done over a "few" thousand clicks so far and about 60,000 feet of climbing.. hey when you avg 3000-5000 ft climbing a ride, and one ride with 10,500 feet alone it adds up quick... Im honestly guessing its closer to 70K but whos counting.. and whats it matter anyways, theres no hills at home anyways...

So the racing plan this year... well.. Ass Park Crits suck Ass and Im sticking to that theory...

Gravel Road Race.. appears to be the one all year best set for me.. nice and long and hills.. and as much as other bloggers like to talk about 18% hills... Ive never seen this hill... but 18%?? Have you ever ridden an 18% hill??? OK maybe I am wrong, just don't see an 18% grade in Manitoba... there's an 18% grade here thats 400M long that will break you in half.. Lance Armstrong has gone over this thing looked back and said damn that was hard.. so the locals say...

Fog TT - DUH... No brainer me and TTs are friends..

Woodcock SR - Well unfortuneatley Stage 3 is an ASS Crit... and it is my Grandmothers birthday... ASS Park will not be happening.... so Ill just be helping the boys out on Sunday...

Darlingford - What.. a HILL????

Then I guess its a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong break til anything worth while... maybe a few races in Minnesota.. maybe Nationals... Prov RR and TT for sure... and that would just about do it for me...

Cross was too Mountain Bikey for me last year... there were a few well thought out and designed courses.. others.. meh.. whatever.. Have to wait and see what happens... I won't miss it, and neither will my back!!

2011 Campagnolo

Don't know if *ANY* of this is valid or BS...

http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/jw!ALogF9qfHx_380JRpAuc6nqA/article?mid=18810&pk=campagnolo

I can't read a thing it says.. note the new "Power Torque" crank design... no more join in the middle.. (Ultra Torque)
Also note levers are shaped differently.. almost looks like the old 10spd tops with the longer 11spd brake/shift component.
Also note their own Cyclocross crank as well...

The Real Sweetest Jersey is no longer after this year...

Thats right, Caisse D'Epargne is pulling out of sponsorship at the end of 2010.. The bank will be concentrating its efforts on the French Olympic Team. The Caisse team will be at the Tour de France (in my hopes of pummeling the likes of Contador, Armstrong, and the Schlecks...)

Details here http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/caisse-depargne-to-end-cycling-sponsorship

Nice to see Team Sky doing well also... the Pinarello Dogma 60.1 looks sweet in black and blue... minus the Japanese stuff of course....
